Biodegradable Textiles
Textile products made from Perma Biodegradable PET made with CiCLO® technology align with the principles of sustainable consumption. PET, as a synthetic material, typically takes an extended period to decompose. To address this, we develop textile products using CiCLO® biodegradable polyester, which accelerates biodegradation of the materials within 3–5 years in environments where the right.
* Achieving ≥ 90% in respirometry tests is considered full biodegradation. The remaining percentage can be attributed to biomass. Further analysis has been conducted to confirm no microplastics left behind.
Biodegradation studies are conducted by independent 3rd party laboratories using internationally recognized ASTM and ISO Test Methods, including ASTM D6691, ASTM D5511, ASTM D5988, ASTM D5210 and ISO 19679.
